Background: You are deploying a new installation of Exchange 2013 using the CU7 media.
Issue: you run “setup /preparead” from a command prompt and you see a quick command prompt pop up window that immediately disappears and then nothing happens.
You may also find this error in the exchange setup logs: [ERROR] Access to the path ‘C:\Windows\Temp\ExchangeSetup\dsaccessperf.dll’ is denied.
Cause: You may not have included “/iacceptexchangeserverlicenseterms” in the /preparead command, and you missed the error output message because the command prompt was not ‘ran as administrator’.
Solution: run command prompt as administrator and include the /iacceptexchangeserverlicenseterms switch assuming you have read and accept the terms.
