The following commands are recommended to configure Time Services on Windows 2008 through Windows 2012 R2 domain controllers and member servers. I received a report from a colleague related to a bug in Windows 7 through Windows 10 where drives mapped via group policy that have the “replace” option selected will ‘flap’ and cause applications to hang and crash.  Instead of the “replace” option, “update” should be used in the group policy mapped drive settings.
